If your Aeroo Smart Controller won't turn on, don't worry, it's usually a quick fix. Work through the steps below in order, and you'll be back in the air in minutes.
Step 1: Check the Battery
The most common reason the Smart Controller won't turn on is a flat battery. Connect your Smart Controller to a 27W+ USB-C wall charger and leave it for at least 30 minutes before trying to power it on again.
You should see the charging symbol appear on the screen once it's connected and charging. If you don't see it, try a different cable or charger.
For full charging instructions, see How to Charge the Smart Controller
Step 2: Check the Power-On Sequence
The Smart Controller requires a firm hold of the power button; a quick tap won't turn it on.
Press and hold the power button until you see the screen turn on and hear a beep. If nothing happens after a full charge, move to the next step.
Step 3: Force Start the Smart Controller
If the controller still won't turn on after charging, try this:
How to force start
- Quickly insert a USB-C cable into the charging port
- Immediately remove it; the whole action should take about a second
- The lights should flash, and the Smart Controller should start up
Give this a couple of attempts if it doesn't work on the first try.
