How to Update:

Aircraft

  1. Ensure your mobile device or Smart Controller is connected to a strong WiFi network.
  2. Power on the drone and remote and proceed to enter device in the main flight interface. 
  3. Once in the main flight interface, a black (semi-transparent) pop up will appear advising a new update is available. 
  4. Follow the steps as prompted 
  5. Once complete, you can restart. The updated version should be displayed under Settings > General > Version.

*Some newer Aeroo Pro models have WiFi Fast Transfer and will be able to complete the update more quickly. It is not uncommon for this update to get stuck on a certain percentage for 20 minutes or more. Please be patient and allow the update to complete.

Smart Remote - Operating System

  1. Power ON your Smart Remote only.
  2. Ensure your Smart Controller is connected to a strong WiFi network.
    Wait on the home screen (blue with rocks) for a black box to appear with the text "Find an OTA upgrade package!"
  3. Follow the on-screen steps to complete the update, the remote will restart and the update takes 5-10 minutes.
  4. Once complete, you can restart. The updated version should be displayed under Settings > General > Version > Controller.

*NOTE please charge to at least 50% battery to complete successfully.

 

Smart Remote - Power System

  1. Power ON your Smart Remote only.
  2. Ensure your Smart Controller is connected to a strong WiFi network.
  3. Proceed to the main flight interface, a black (semi-transparent) box will appear prompting you to update the remote control firmware. 
  4. Follow the on-screen steps to complete the update, then restart
  5. Once complete, you can restart. The updated version should be displayed under Settings > General > Version > Controller.

*NOTE please charge to at least 50% battery to complete successfully.

 

Smart Remote - Aeroo Fly Interface

  1. Power ON your Smart Remote only.
  2. Ensure your Smart Controller is connected to a strong WiFi network.
  3. Proceed to "Select Device" and then "Enter Device". When pressing "Enter Device", a white update box should appear. 
  4. Follow the on screen steps - for your first time updating, you will need to "Allow unknown app update". This is inherent with the Android Operating system and designed to protect your privacy.
  5. Once complete, you can restart. The updated version should be displayed under Profile (on the home screen) > Below your account details (bottom left)

*NOTE please charge to at least 50% battery to complete successfully.

Aeroo Fly App

  1. Visit the App Store (iPhone) or Play Store (Android) on your mobile device. 
  2. Search for Aeroo Fly. 
  3. If any update is available, it should be prompted in the app description.
  4. The updated version should be displayed under Profile (on the home screen) & Below your account details (bottom left)

 

 

 

Troubleshooting:

If an update is not prompting, or if you are having issues completing an update after following the above steps, please try the following:

 

Clear the Cache

In the Aeroo Fly Interface Home Screen (Blue Screen with rocks), click the profile icon in the top right. Then press "Clear Cache". Then restart and follow the above steps again.

Try Different Internet Connections

Your Wifi may be too slow or weak to successfully download or complete the update. Please try other networks if available, such as a personal hotspot or other modem/frequency.

Ensure everything is fully charged

Most updates require at least 50% battery life. Please ensure everything is fully charged, including your device, remote and also drone battery, before updating, and try again.
