The TOF (Time of Flight) sensor on your Aeroo Pro helps your drone detect the ground and maintain a steady hover. If you're seeing a TOF error, it usually means the sensors need a quick clean or the surface below is making it tricky for them to read.
Step 1: Check and Clean the Sensors
1. Turn off your drone before inspecting.
2. Look at the underside of the drone and make sure the sensors are:
- Free from dust, dirt, or fingerprints.
- Not blocked or scratched.
3. If the sensors require cleaning:
- Use a soft cloth with Isopropyl alcohol or methylated spirits.
- Avoid detergent-based cleaners, as these may leave residue.
Step 2: Choose the Right Take-Off Surface
- Always use a clean, flat surface for take-off.
- If you’re on grass, sand or uneven ground, use the landing pad for a smooth lift-off.
- Long grass or reflective surfaces can sometimes confuse the sensor, so the landing pad helps to ensure accurate readings.
Tip: Regularly checking and cleaning your sensors keeps them performing at their optimal level, especially when flying in dusty or coastal areas.
