Why Am I Seeing An "Optical Flow Sensor Poor Quality" Error?

The optical flow sensor on your Aeroo Pro, located on the underside of the drone, helps it detect the ground and maintain smooth, stable flights, especially when hovering close to the surface. If you see a "Poor Quality" message in the app, don't worry — in most cases, this is normal and clears up as soon as the drone takes off.

Why This Happens

When your drone is still on the ground:

  • The sensor can sometimes struggle to read reflective, patterned or uneven surfaces.
  • As a result, you may briefly see a "Poor Quality" warning in the app.

Good to Know: As soon as the drone lifts off and gains altitude, the sensor gets a clearer view of the ground, and the warning will disappear.

Tips for Best Performance

  • Use a flat, non-reflective surface for take-off.
  • Flying from grass, gravel, or uneven ground? Use the included landing pad for the best results.
