If your Aeroo Pro seems to descend slightly while carrying a payload, don't worry — this is expected behaviour and easy to manage with a few simple tips.
Why This Happens
When a payload is attached, the drone automatically turns off its downward vision sensors. This is to make sure the payload doesn’t block them during flight. With the sensors off, the drone relies entirely on GPS to maintain its position and altitude. At lower heights, GPS signals can sometimes be influenced by reflections or nearby objects, which may cause a gentle drift or slight descent.
How to Keep a Steady Altitude
- Fly a Little Higher: Once you’re above 10 metres, the GPS signal quality improves and the drone will hold its altitude more reliably.
- Use the Aeroo Fly app: Keep an eye on the altitude reading in the app while flying with a payload.
Important Note
This gentle descent at low altitudes is part of the drone’s normal operation and does not indicate any faults with your drone. Flying a little higher (above 10m) is the easiest way to enjoy smooth, stable hovering without interference.
