Why Isn’t My Drone Connecting to Enough Satellites?

Your Aeroo Pro relies on GPS satellites to fly smoothly while in GPS mode. If it isn't picking up enough satellites and taking a little while to connect, try these steps to get connected.

Quick Steps to Improve Satellite Connection

Step 1: Fly in a Clear, Open Area

Move to a wide, open space outdoors with a clear view of the sky. Staying away from large metal structures, buildings, or power lines helps the drone find satellites more easily.

Step 2: Allow Time to Connect

On your first flight in a new location, it may take up to 3 minutes for the drone to find and lock onto enough satellites. This is normal and ensures a strong connection is established.

Step 3: Perform a Compass Calibration

If satellites still aren’t locking after a few minutes, perform a compass calibration in the Aeroo Fly app. After calibration, wait another 2–3 minutes for the GPS signals to stabilise.

Why Does This Happen?

  • Obstructions: tall trees, buildings, or metal objects can block and weaken satellite signals.
  • Cold starts: The first time you fly in a new area, the system takes a little extra time to sync with nearby satellites.

Once the connection is established, the drone will remember its location to ensure a faster connection next time.
