This one has been in the works for a while, and we're so excited to finally share it.
We've been working with the team at Melbourne Zoo to use the Aeroo Pro as an enrichment tool for Malu, their 22-year-old male orangutan. Keepers, aided by Zoos Victoria donors, have been using the Aeroo Pro to deliver packages of nuts, seeds and vegetables to elevated platforms in the orangutan habitat, platforms that are nearly impossible for keepers to reach any other way.
The idea was simple. If the food is up there, Malu will climb to get it. And it worked!
Since introducing the Aeroo Pro, keepers have seen a noticeable increase in activity from Malu and his companion Gabby, who are now regularly making the 12-metre climb to collect their deliveries.
We always believed the Aeroo Pro had applications well beyond fishing and delivery, and getting to work alongside the Melbourne Zoo team to bring this project to life has been one of the highlights for us. Seeing it actually work, and seeing Malu and Gabby thrive because of it, is very exciting.

A Drone Built for More Than Fishing
The Aeroo Pro was built for fishing, delivery, and camera work, but Malu is proof that the applications go well beyond that. With a 1kg payload capacity, a precise drop system, and reliable performance in real-world environments, it is a genuinely useful tool wherever access is a challenge.
