Aeroo Pro + Smart Controller Beginner Guide

Aeroo Pro + Smart Controller Beginner Guide

Welcome to Your Aeroo Smart Controller Beginner Guide

This guide covers everything you need to know to get started with your Aeroo Pro and Smart Controller, from first charge to first flight. Whether you're flying for fishing, delivery, or camera work, start here.

The Smart Controller keeps things simple. There is no phone, no cables. Everything runs directly from the built-in screen, designed specifically for coastal conditions and bright outdoor environments.

Before You Fly

We strongly recommend doing the following before your first flight:

  1. Read through the User Manual
  2. Watch the Beginner Guide video
  3. Smart Controller Pairing

The Beginner Guide video walks you through the drone, batteries, controls, takeoff, landing, and payload use. While the video was filmed using the standard remote, the flight process, safety systems, and fishing workflow are the same. The only differences relate to pairing and controller hardware.

Setting Up Your Smart Controller

If you haven't set up your Smart Controller yet, start here:

Your First Flight

Before every flight, make sure:

  • The Smart Controller and drone battery are fully charged
  • Both devices are running the latest firmware. Latest Firmware Update Page
  • The gimbal cover has been removed
  • You're flying in a safe, open area away from people and obstacles

Takeoff, landing, and Return to Home can all be automatic, handled at the press of a button. If you let go of the sticks, the drone will hover in place.

Flying for Fishing

The Aeroo Pro is purpose-built for offshore fishing. The Smart Controller makes the experience even more seamless, no phone to worry about in salt air, a screen you can actually see in full sun, and up to 6 hours of battery for long sessions on the water.

Key things to know for fishing use:

  • Use the payload release button to drop your bait at the right moment, with buttons on both the screen and the physical controller button
  • Use Drop Point Save to record your drop location and fly back to it automatically next cast
  • The 6x digital zoom lets you scout the water before committing to a drop
  • Review your footage instantly on the Smart Controller screen via microSD playback

Flying for Delivery

The Aeroo Pro carries up to 1kg and drops it precisely at the press of a button. The Smart Controller's built-in screen gives you a clear live feed to guide your drop with confidence.

  • Use Waypoints to plot a delivery path and let the drone fly itself
  • Use Drop Point Save to return to a repeat delivery location automatically
  • The payload release system is marine-grade and handles real-world conditions

Flying for Camera

The Aeroo Pro shoots in 4K UHD with a 3-axis gimbal and 6x digital zoom. The Smart Controller's built-in screen delivers a live 2.7K feed so you can frame your shots without squinting at a phone.

  • Use Follow Mode to track a subject automatically
  • Use 360° Orbit to fly a perfect circle around your subject

Protect Your Investment
